Navy Blue Newborn Session
We have had the pleasure of photographing the Dunlap family in our studio for the third time in the Spring of 2023. In 2021 we photographed their daughters newborn and first birthday sessions. Take a look at her newborn session here. Kerrie inquired with us fairly early in her pregnancy and wanted to do almost the same as her last session. As a result, both sessions look very similar and we made sure to include her husband’s military uniform for both of their children’s sessions.
First, we started with their sons solo portraits while Kerrie was getting her make up and hair done. Their baby boy was very sleepy which allowed us to capture him in classic sleepy poses. Then, we transitioned to another site where we took sibling portraits of their son and daughter. Their daughter was nearing two years old, she loved to be around her little brother. She listened to all of our instructions and we captured plenty of beautiful moments between them. Of course, we had to get a picture of her holding her brother, she was so excited! Certainly, child safety is our top priority, and an assistant is nearby at all times. In fact, the picture where he’s resting on the tiny pillow is being held by our assistant, and our amazing editor expertly used Photoshop to remove her hands from the image.
We concluded the session with full family photos against our light and bright backdrop. Surely, Jackie recreated photos from their daughter’s session! The session was so much fun, their daughter was so lively and energetics and their son was very sleepy and did amazing during his special day. This navy blue newborn session was perfect.
