Sage Green Newborn Session

We welcome Sharon and her beautiful family into the studio in the fall of 2023. This is the third time that we have photographed Sharon. In fact, she has been coming to the studio since she was pregnant with her second baby girl. You can read about her maternity session here and her second daughter’s first birthday session here. Jackie and Sharon were due within four weeks of each other! We are very excited to have them return to the studio and celebrate their baby boy with a beautiful newborn session.

The Session

First, we began with the solo portraits of the baby in various swaddles. He was fast asleep so Jackie had no issues posing him for classic, sleepy photos. Clearly, Jackie is an expert at swaddling babies and getting them right back to sleep. For her son’s newborn session, Sharon wanted a dark and moody feel to the photos and the blue and sage green colorway was perfect for her theme. Then, Jackie transitioned him into a navy blue wrap for the next set. Carefully, she placed him in his heart shaped photography prop that we love using for newborn sessions. Of course, it is lined with a blanket for comfort and added texture. Child safety is our top priority and an assistant is always nearby to make sure the baby is safe and secure.

Certainly, we took various sibling portraits of him with his sisters. They were so excited to have a little brother and we’re very loving to him throughout the session. Finally, we concluded the session with classic family portraits against our cream colored backdrop and our light in bright set. We love the sage green colored outfits that Sharon chose for her son’s special day. It is such a beautiful color that contrasts beautifully in every set.
