Bright In-Studio Maternity and Newborn Session

Sharon and her daughter came into our studio in Southampton, New Jersey for their maternity session in the early Fall of 2021. Sharon opted for our Baby Plan so we were so excited to finally meet baby Siena for her in-studio newborn session! Because Siena was measuring small and they were unsure of when she would arrive, we waited patiently to plan her perfect newborn photoshoot. Siena needed heart surgery upon her arrival, it went very well and she is healing beautifully! We finally ended up doing her newborn session at six months old! She is such a sweet baby and it was a dream to photograph in this bright in-studio session.

We had to get a shot of Sharon and her daughter in this fall landscape right behind the studio. The hunter-green dress and red roses really pop against the fall leaves. It’s evident that they already love Siena so much and are very excited to meet her. Big sister is already giving her sweet kisses!

We had to capture Sharon in this sleek, black bodycon maternity dress. I love this dress because it’s perfect for showing off those beautiful pregnancy bellies, and we did just that for Sharon’s pregnancy session. She looks absolutely stunning and timeless in this photo.

This light and bright backdrop was perfect for this maternity dress. This photo really captures the blissfulness of pregnancy, it’s bright and airy, and such a beautiful photo for Sharon and her family to look back on for years to come.

Baby Siena was awake and ready for her first photoshoot upon arrival at the studio, so we were lucky enough to capture some awake shots. Here she is giving us the sweetest smile! It was really important for the family to celebrate how far Siena had come with her heart surgery. I feel like we beautifully captured her strength and resilience. I am so looking forward to her first birthday photoshoot!

Sharon really wanted to do sleepy baby poses for this newborn shoot, just like the ones you normally see with newborn babies. We were totally able to accomplish that because at 6 months Siena was weighing in at 10 pounds!

I loved that we were able to get these siblings portraits while Siena was awake. This is only the beginning of a wonderful relationship between sisters. Look at those beautiful big brown eyes!

As soon as baby Siena fell asleep, we wrapped her with ease in this cream-colored wrap to keep her as comfortable as possible. We were able to get those sweet sleepy baby poses that Sharon was dreaming about! Siena looks so peaceful and serene in this light and airy shot.

It was so much fun to shoot this beautiful family. I am so glad we were able to get Sharon everything she envisioned for Siena’s bright and airy in-studio newborn session.
