Sweet One First Birthday Session
The Hennessey family came into our studio in the late summer of 2023 for their daughter’s first birthday session. First birthdays are such an important mile stone and we love celebrating the special day with our clients. As you can see, they wanted several sweets displayed for the backdrop and a colorful cake to smash! The session was predominantly cake smash portraits but we took several family pictures as well.
First, we photographed the Hennessy family in our light and bright, white set. We began with mommy-and-me pictures and then transitioned to solo portraits. Their daughter was so cute in her pink dress and had a huge smile on her face. Of course, we took daddy-and-me photos as well. We loved that they were matching with pink outfits! First birthday sessions are mostly lifestyle photography and are perfect because toddlers are very active. Surely, we lightly posed them for those classic family portraits we all know and love.
Then, we transitioned to our cake smash set. We are a custom studio and any expectations or ideas that clients may have we do our very best to re-create it. This sweet one first birthday session was very fun and colorful. Certainly, we had to get a mini-ice cream truck and colorful donuts for this special occasion. She loved her blue birthday cake and had such a wonderful time! We cannot wait to see The Hennessey family again soon!
