Mermaid First Birthday Session
Michelle and her family arrived at the studio in May 2023 for a classic first birthday photoshoot. Milestone sessions are special because we get to see our client’s families grow, and also keep in touch. During this session, we took several family portraits and solo portraits of their daughter in her cute mermaid dress. We used our three sets to capture beautiful images for their special day.
First, we took full family portrait in our white set and Michelle and her family look absolutely adorable. Clearly, Michelle did a wonderful job coordinating the outfits for the family pictures, white and pink was perfect. Their daughter was such a treat to photograph because she was very happy and smiling big throughout the entire session. We are a custom studio so any ideas Michelle had and expressed during our design consultation we were sure to re-create.
Then, we did an outfit change and transitioned to our mermaid cake smash set. Of course, we had to use our mermaid set backdrop and we ordered a plain white cake for her special day. Cake smash photography is always so much fun because you never know how toddlers are going to react to the cake. However, the images we capture are always a treat and they generally have a great time. Finally, we ended our session with tubby time, where we fill up our tiny tub with warm milk or water and the kids have a blast splashing. As you can see, this mermaid first birthday session was such a blast! We cannot wait to see Michelle and her beautiful family in the studio again.
