Alexis and her beautiful family are one of our Baby Plan clients. We recently just completed her package with their daughter’s first birthday session. We had the honor of photographing Alexis and her husband in our studio for their maternity and newborn sessions this past year. Thus, this session is special because we have documented such pivotal moments in their lives. This session features family portraits, mommy-and-me portraits, and the must-have cake smash.

First, we collaborated with Alexis during her design consultation on the theme and vibe of each session. Similarly, Alexis wanted a moody feel to the family photos to resemble her previous sessions. Certainly, we achieved this look by using our mocha paper backdrop. Certainly, Alexis and her husband look amazing in their black ensembles, as they did for their previous sessions.

Then, we transitioned to their daughter’s cake smash set. Of course, the birthday girl wore the cutest pink dress with matching shoes and a bow headband. Alexis wanted a pink-and-white themed floral cake smash. Surely, we incorporated tons of flowers in this set and added greenery for a subtle contrast. Indeed, their daughter was super cute eating her cake and savoring each bite. Although we recently concluded Alexis’ Baby Plan, we hope to see them again soon. In fact, we hope to see them at the mini-sessions that we offer year around. This pink floral first birthday session was the perfect end to their plan. Ready to plan your next session?
