Alice in Wonderland First Birthday Session
Dianna and her beautiful family arrived in our studio in the Fall of 2023 for their daughter’s first birthday portraits. This session includes a custom cake smash, outdoor family photos, and a set with her in a traditional Korean dress. First birthdays are always so special and such an important milestone to celebrate. A milestone session is such a perfect way to capture this moment in time.
First, we began outdoors with classic family photos. Surely, when the weather is nice, we take full advantage and take portraits right outside our studio. We made sure to take a ton of photos from different angles with both mom and dad. Of course, we were sure to take some of them individually with her as well. Then, we went inside the studio for her Korean-themed set. We learned that Doljanchi is a Korean tradition, and is a fun take on what a child will be when he/she grows up depending on which object they grab. This ceremony takes place on the first birthday and blesses the child with a prosperous future. We loved her traditional outfit.
Finally, we concluded the session with an Alice in Wonderland-themed cake smash! Clearly, she enjoyed her tiny cake very much and we loved all of the outfits that Dianna chose for her daughter’s special day. We are looking forward to seeing this beautiful family again soon.
