Dreamy In-studio Newborn Session
Samantha and her husband came into our studio for a dreamy newborn photoshoot in the Spring of 2023. As you can see, they chose a grey theme and incorporated sporty elements in his portraits. In fact, Samantha’s husband played college basketball, sports are a big part of their lives so we were happy to include sports ideas. Usually, babies are sleepy during sessions, but he was awake for most of it.
First, we started with his solo newborn portraits where Jackie expertly swaddled him in a cream-colored wrap. As Samantha was getting her make-up and hair done, we captured close-ups of his tiny hands and feet, ears, and those beautiful brown eyes. When babies are swaddled like this they are very comfortable and tend to fall asleep quickly, but he was very alert. Despite being awake, he was very happy during the entire session.
Then, we transitioned him to another site where we carefully placed him in our tiny crib photography prop and adorned it with sporty elements. During this time, he was starting to get sleepy and once he did we placed him in our bucket and took classic sleepy photos. We love the light blue and gray color combination Samanta chose for his baby portraits.
Finally, we ended our session with family portraits in our light and bright set. Samantha put on a white gown that we have in our closet. Jackie is an expert at guiding clients during sessions for poses. You do not need to know how to pose during your session, Jackie has you covered. We are so happy we were able to capture such precious moments of Samantha and her husband with their baby boy with a dreamy in-studio newborn session. Truly, we cannot wait to see them again!
