Priya and her family are long-time clients! Our first session with this gorgeous family was for their first child, Aveer, in 2018. That maternity session was at the beautiful Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, their fresh 48 at Cooper Hospital in Camden NJ since this was pre-pandemic, then we finished his baby plan with the in-home newborn session. Priya and her family opted for our Baby Plan again, which includes In-Home Maternity, Fresh 48, Newborn Sessions we had the pleasure of shooting her Maternity, Fresh 48, and Newborn session in their beautiful home in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Priya is an accomplished dentist in the local area and her spouse owns a very successful moving business. In-home sessions turned out to be the perfect decision we made to best accommodate this busy family.

Priya picked the perfect red dress for her fall maternity session! She really wanted to incorporate some of the trees and exposed wood so we photoshopped out some dead shrubs and dead trees to make these shots just the way she wanted, perfect!

Her son Aveer was such a ham throughout the session! He was so happy and playful, yet still attentive and responsive during the session. We love to get the kids in all of our sessions happy and involved, to get them comfortable enough for them to listen and be more agreeable to cues. It is so important to be able to capture those beautiful smiles!

We did incorporate some gender reveal photos showing some really cute outfits Avnoor would be wearing once she arrived. Priya did not want to announce the gender of the baby so we made sure to honor and respect her wishes and add those specific shots only to her private album.

Typically, Fresh 48 sessions are done in your hospital room. Priya was sent home earlier than the expected two-day hold for having a natural delivery. We made sure to instead go to their home within the hour of them arriving so that Aveer could meet the adorable Avnoor and we could capture this super sweet moment. Look at that smile!

Priya was not feeling well during the Fresh 48 session, which is completely understandable after just having Avnoor less than 24 hours before! She just wanted portraits of Avnoor in the arms of her husband, Aveer holding his little sister, and of course, grandma holding her as well. We then returned to their home a week later and did their posed newborn session.

During this in-home newborn, we were able to use a lot of natural light. Priya chose mauve, pink and cream colors for these sessions. Their home was so beautiful, we had to do our normal routine of poses for an updated family portrait. It gave for such a natural and relaxed setting. We can’t wait to see these hung on their walls!

We are so excited to be heading back for Avnoor’s first birthday! Since 2018, our Baby Plan has included Maternity, Fresh 48, and Newborn sessions. We extended the first birthday session as an add-on, because of the pandemic they missed out on Aveer’s first birthday session. It was a delight to work with Priya and her family. We would love to capture such moments for you!
