Lifestyle Milk Bath Family Session
Kim and her family came to our studio at the beginning of the summer of 2023. For this session, Kim wanted mostly mommy-and-me pictures with her children, a milk bath, classic family portraits, lifestyle images, and breastfeeding photos. Family photography with kids is so much fun. Lifestyle photos are ideal because they are constantly in motion.
First, we took classic family photos against our white backdrop. We love that Kim chose white outfits for her session. Then, we set up our bed in the same set and added greenery for a subtle contrast. Certainly, we took portraits of just Kim her daughters, and of her two oldest jumping on the bed. Clearly, our bed set is a favorite because the bed is so bouncy and the kids have so much fun.
Finally, we made our way outside, right behind our studio to take the milk bath portraits. Of course, we fill the tub with lukewarm water to make sure mom and baby are perfectly comfortable. We add rose petals for further contrast and always have our assistant nearby if needed. As you can see it was time for Kim’s youngest to feed so we took breast-feeding portraits and captured that special time between them. This is a perfect way to commemorate the special bond between mother and child. Understandably a big bathtub it’s also fun for kiddos to play in splash in and her kids had such a great time!
