Timeless Maternity and Newborn Session

Kelli and her family came into our studio for her maternity session in April 2023 and returned a few weeks later for her newborn session. Kelli and her husband’s chemistry was on full display with tons of laughs and good vibes. It was such a pleasure to photograph them during this special time. For both sessions, you will see super cute family portraits, mommy-and-me photos of Kelli and her son, and newborn images of their baby girl.

The Maternity Session

Kelli and her husband opted to use our bedtime set for casual family photos. Clearly, Kelli looked stunning for both sessions and she chose to use our dresses from our boutique. Kelli chose a formal black dress against our white paper backdrop. Then, we finished with our white dress in our backlit set, which is one of our most popular requests. Her son was reluctant to take photos at first, but we managed to get him more comfortable with some animal props we have handy in our studio. We will do our best to capture those cute smiles and interactions.

The Newborn Session

They returned to the studio a few weeks later for their newborn session. We made sure to incorporate some of the sets we had during their maternity session. We recreated the light and bright backlit set with their baby for classic before and after portraits. Clearly, she was very sleepy which allowed for dreamy newborn poses and pictures. All in all, this timeless maternity and newborn session was very fun and simple. We can’t wait to shoot their next session soon!
