Fruit Medley First Birthday Session

Fruit Medley First Birthday Session

Last summer Michelle and her family came into the studio, located in Southampton, New Jersey for their daughter’s first birthday session. Michelle envisioned a very simple session with a white flower crown for her baby girl. This session was minimalistic with a rustic touch and involved some of our favorite props. Michelle chose mauve for her and the girls’ dresses and khaki and blue for her son and husband, and a beautifully detailed white dress for her daughter’s portraits.

Actually, we started the session with the family portraits. In fact, right behind our studio, we have beautiful greenery and love to incorporate it for outdoor photos. Then, we went into the studio for the cake smash. As you can see, Michelle decided on a naked cake for the cake smash, which is a beautiful addition to the clean and minimalist set. Surely, one of our favorite props is our white high chair, which adds subtle texture to portraits.

We concluded the session with a client favorite, tubby time. Of course, we added some of the baby’s favorite fruits in the milk bath for her to interact with and for a pop of color. Certainly, we had to take a sibling portrait, we love to include the full family portraits during all sessions. Naturally, capturing precious moments is so special and we strive to provide an amazing experience for all of our clients. What fruit would you include for your fruit medley first birthday session? We would love to make it happen!
