Rosy In-Studio Newborn Session
Alona and her family came into our studio for their daughter’s newborn pictures in the Summer of 2023. For this session, Alona wanted to incorporate lavender and purple, with a pop of pink, and greenery for her daughters’ portraits. For the family pictures we kept at classic cream and whites against our light and bright backdrops. These types of photographs are perfect for any room in the home and are timeless.
The Session
First, we started with the newborn portraits which she was awake for most of the time. We do newborn portraits as moms get their hair and make-up done by our make-up artist Rebecca. Of course, we were sure to incorporate our newborn props, we especially love our heart-shaped prop. We love encouraging clients to bring personalized items such as blankets to sessions. Blankets also provide great texture in photographs.
Then, we transitioned to our light and bright set, where we took mommy-and-me portraits. Alana wore a classic white dress which is perfect for this summer session. Finally, we transitioned to family pictures, where we had to include Teddy, her fur brother. Clearly, Teddy was very protective of her sister and was always nearby. Certainly we had to take some of our favorite poses against our light and bright backdrop where Jackie expertly posed them to get the perfect picture. Newborn photography is always so special to us because we get to capture such special moments. This rosy in-studio newborn session was so adorable, we can’t wait to see Alona and her family again!
