This month, I wanted to start a blog that was more catered to my clients and less photography related so that we can jazz things up a little bit. I have several local small businesses, who are ran by moms, who I just love in general. 

We are going to start with Brook. Brook specializes in birth and postpartum doula services, and childbirth education. Her business name is All 4 Trimesters, based out of Cinnaminson, NJ. She also travels 45 minutes in any direction to her clients.

The purpose of her business is to families through the transition of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods. “My goal is to help those who need more support then they have available to them between partners, families, and friends. As a birth doula, I provide resources and education prenatally and postpartum as well as in person support during labor and birth. As a postpartum doula, I provide education, resources, and in person help during the postpartum period. I’ve worked with families anywhere from 2 hours one time to around 9 months of regular support,” says Brook.

She not only supports moms but, she supports the entire family through the transition of adding to the family, generally she’s supporting mom, and supporting partners supporting moms. 

The biggest goal that she has for her  business is, “awareness of what a postpartum doula is, what we do, and why it’s important to have support. I don’t just support those with postpartum
depression or other postpartum mood disorders, but all people after birth.” 

Brook is also a Breastfeeding USA counselor and is restarting her monthly support group in March. The next meeting is March 8th at 7pm.
