We had the pleasure of welcoming Jordan and her beautiful family back into the studio in the spring of 2025 for a stunning newborn session. Their last visit was for their son’s first birthday, and it was such an adorable and fun experience! You can check out his simple first birthday session here. This time, they celebrated the arrival of their baby girl with heartfelt newborn and family portraits here in our studio.
Newborn sessions are always especially meaningful to us because they allow us to capture your baby’s ever-changing features and witness your family grow. Did you know that newborns typically spend about 2-3 weeks in the early stages of life? During this period, they are most likely to curl up into those adorable, sleepy poses that are perfect for photos.
For this session, Jordan chose neutral tones for the outfits, which complemented our light and bright set beautifully. In addition to capturing solo portraits of their baby girl, we took several family photos and mommy-and-me shots as well. When photographing siblings, we love to incorporate lifestyle photography to capture genuine, authentic moments of joy and connection. We aim to create a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable, often engaging them with toys or props to encourage natural smiles and interactions.
Of course, we always start with solo portraits of the baby. As you can see, their little girl was awake when she arrived at the studio, and we were delighted to capture her big, beautiful eyes. For newborn sessions, we have a cozy baby boutique stocked with a variety of headbands and wraps, allowing us to swaddle your baby comfortably and in style. We also included a classic white romper for some timeless family portraits, both posed and candid. And we couldn’t forget to capture some special moments of Jordan with her baby girl — the big brown bow she brought in was the perfect finishing touch!
Newborn portraits are a wonderful idea because they capture a fleeting moment in your baby’s early life that you will cherish forever. During the first few weeks, your baby is changing rapidly, and these tiny features—such as their tiny fingers, toes, and delicate facial expressions—won’t last long.
