It was such a pleasure to welcome Jill and her family to the studio for their newborn session in April 2025. Jill had a vision for this session, and we were thrilled to bring it to life. She wanted to make the most of our studio props for solo portraits of her daughter, capture sweet sibling moments with both girls, create timeless couple photos with her and her husband cradling their sleeping baby, and, of course, preserve her daughter’s fleeting newborn features.

Upon arrival, their little one was sound asleep, while her big sister was eager to start the day! We began with family portraits in our bright and airy set, which is an ideal space for toddlers to explore and acclimate to the studio environment. This helped her feel comfortable and at ease.

Once her big sister was relaxed and smiling, we transitioned to family portraits, capturing a variety of styles including posed, candid, and lifestyle shots. We adore this set for its clean and dreamy aesthetic, which adds a special touch to portraits. Next, we brought out our large bean bag and laid a soft cream-colored textured blanket for their baby girl to rest on, allowing us to capture heartwarming photos of her with her adoring big sister. The older sister showered her baby sister with kisses and hugs throughout the session, creating truly precious moments.

Of course, we made sure to capture plenty of “Mommy and Me” and “Daddy and Me” portraits, as well as sibling photos. We always take a variety of shots to ensure those special moments are perfectly preserved. We concluded the session with dreamy baby portraits, utilizing custom sets and a wide array of photography props. As you can see, we nestled her in baskets and adorned her with flowers and greenery for a beautiful contrast. Light purple was a consistent theme throughout her solo portraits, and we used various headbands to complement her delicate features.
