We welcomed Alyssa and her family at our studio in January 2025 to celebrate their son RJ’s first birthday with a special photo session. Allyssa discovered us through our wonderful business partner, Days to Remember Pro, an amazing event stylist business located in Voorhees, New Jersey. Our first session with Alyssa and her family was for holiday photos in 2024. Alyssa shared that she loved our style and vibe, which led her to book RJ’s first birthday session with us!

We were thrilled to have them back in the studio for RJ’s custom session. They chose a delightful Mickey Mouse-inspired cake smash theme, making the occasion even more special. The beautiful cake, crafted by Sunflower Bakery in Marlton, New Jersey, added the perfect touch to the celebration. It was a joy to capture these precious moments and create lasting memories for Alyssa and her family.

We began the session in our white set, where baby RJ got comfortable crawling around and having a blast in the open space. It was wonderful to see him exploring and enjoying himself. To make the session even more fun, we brought out a large blue balloon shaped like the number one. RJ absolutely loved playing with the balloon during the shoot! We always strive to make the little ones smile and feel comfortable in the studio, and RJ’s joy was infectious.

Although this was RJ’s first birthday session, we always suggest that mom and dad join in on some photos. We love capturing updated family photos, and we did just that for Alyssa and her family. It was also important to include RJ’s big sister in the set for the cutest sibling photos. The outfits Alyssa chose for the special day were perfect and added a lovely touch to the images.

The cake smash set was a huge success! This custom set design was created specifically for RJ’s cake smash portraits, and it turned out beautifully. We adored the Mickey Mouse outfit Alyssa brought for him; it was simply adorable. The session became even cuter when RJ’s big sister stepped in to help him eat his first birthday cake. This Mickey Mouse-inspired cake smash was so much fun, and we were thrilled to have Alyssa and her family in the studio again for this milestone. We can’t wait to see them again at one of our mini-session events throughout the year.
