We had the pleasure of welcoming Ashley and her beautiful family back into the studio for their second newborn session in late January 2025. Their first newborn session was for their son in 2023, and it was such a joy to see them again. You can read about their son’s newborn session on our blog or you can click here. For their daughter’s session, we recreated some of the poses from their son’s session, creating a lovely sense of continuity between the two shoots. This thoughtful recreation not only brought back fond memories but also highlighted the family’s growth and the beautiful journey they are on.

Ashley has a wonderful eye for minimalistic aesthetics, and she chose to keep the vibe of the photos simple and elegant. This approach allows the focus to remain on the family and their precious moments together, rather than on a busy backdrop. The simplicity of the setting ensured that every smile, every glance, and every tender moment was captured in its purest form.
We started the session with portraits of their sweet baby girl. When they arrived at the studio, she was in and out of sleep, which gave us the perfect opportunity to capture some adorable smiles and those cute fluttering eyes. Each expression was a testament to the peaceful and loving environment that Ashley and her family have created for their little ones.

After the initial portraits, we transitioned to our light and bright set, where we had set up a cozy bed for the family to sit on. This set is perfect for families with toddlers because it gives them the space to move around and play. Their baby boy was clearly very happy and excited to be there; he loved doting on his baby sister and it was heartwarming to see his enthusiasm. The bed setup allowed for natural interactions and spontaneous moments, which are often the most cherished in family photography. The joy and excitement of their baby boy added a dynamic element to the session, making it lively and full of genuine moments.

We made sure to take individual photos of each parent with their baby girl, capturing those special one-on-one moments. These individual portraits are so important because they highlight the unique bond each parent shares with their child. Sibling photos were also a must, and we got some wonderful shots of the brother-sister duo. The love and connection between the family members were evident in every frame. The way their son gently held his baby sister and the proud smiles on the parents’ faces were truly touching.

It was such a delight to have Ashley and her beautiful family in the studio again this year. Seeing families return and grow over the years is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work.
