We welcomed the Hennessey family back to the studio this past January for their son’s first birthday session. We love having this beautiful family visit us and feel honored to have captured many of their milestones. We were thrilled to photograph not only their son’s first birthday but also their daughter’s a few years back. You can see their daughter’s Sweet One first birthday session here. Watching this family grow and documenting their special moments has been a joy and privilege for us.

For this session, we chose various shades of blue for the outfits and blue and white balloons against a gray backdrop for the cake smash portraits. The cake perfectly complemented the theme with its gradient shades of white and blue, which the baby boy absolutely loved. His excitement and joy during the cake smash were infectious, and it was such a delight to capture those precious moments.

Of course, we had to get several photos of the siblings together. Watching siblings grow up together is such a privilege, and we love documenting their relationship and dynamic in the studio, showing it through beautiful photography. As you can see, his big sister was more than happy to help him eat his birthday cake. It was evident that she loved her baby brother so much, and the bond between them was heartwarming to witness and capture.

Certainly, we made sure to take mommy-and-me photos of Mom and the birthday boy. These moments are so special, and we know how important it is for families to have these memories to look back on.
