Heather is wrapping up her baby plan with a delightful first birthday session for her daughter. We’ve had the pleasure of capturing Heather’s journey from her maternity session to her newborn session, and now we celebrate this special milestone. You can read and see her maternity and newborn sessions here. For this session, Heather wanted to blend indoor and outdoor elements to create a diverse and memorable collection of photos.
We started indoors with a simple, intimate setup. Heather’s daughter was joined by her beloved dinosaur toy, Marshmallow, which added a touch of whimsy and personal significance to the photos. The simplicity of the indoor shots allowed us to focus on the genuine emotions and interactions between Heather, her husband, and their daughter, creating timeless images that they will cherish forever.
After the indoor session, we moved outside to our beautiful flower garden. The vibrant colors and natural light provided a stunning backdrop for the family photos. Heather’s daughter was in her element, exploring the garden and interacting with the flowers. One of the highlights of this part of the session was the little bumblebee toy that Heather’s daughter loves dearly. The photos of her holding this special toy captured her joy and curiosity, adding a heartwarming touch to the collection.
To wrap up the session, we headed to the backyard for a fun and festive watermelon smash. This playful activity not only added a burst of color and energy to the photos but also perfectly encapsulated the summery feel Heather wanted. The images of her daughter delighting in the watermelon smash are full of laughter and excitement, making them a perfect end to this memorable session.
