Mount Laurel Newborn Photographer | Light Pink In-Studio Newborn Session
Light Pink In-Studio Newborn Session | Mount Laurel Newborn Photographer
We welcomed Jen, her husband, and their two daughters into our Southampton studio in the summer of 2024 for a beautiful newborn session. In this blog, you will see just a few of the portraits we took on their special day. Actually, this is the second time newborn session we have done for Jen and her husband. For their first daughter’s newborn session, we incorporated various shades of purple. For this session, Jen decided on light and bright portraits to incorporate light pink and white throughout.
Newborn sessions are always super special for us and we allot a 3-hour window in the studio to allow for a comfortable and pleasant experience for all involved. Typically, newborn sessions do not take that long but we allot that time in case the baby has a blow-out and to do the outfit changes! We began Jen’s session with her daughter’s solo portraits as she was getting pampered with hair and make-up. It was early in the morning so baby girl was awake when they arrived at the studio.
We love it when we can capture the babies with their eyes open. Newborn features change so rapidly so we take photos of their little hands and feet and, with some luck, their eyes. If you need a Mount Laurel Newborn Photographer, we are the studio for you!
Once their baby girl was fast asleep, Jackie expertly swaddled her in a pink wrap and placed her in our heart-shaped photography prop. We love using this prop! As you can see, we like to incorporate the family’s hands and it makes for the cutest baby portraits. Because the baby was still very sleepy, we were able to place her in our basket prop. She fit perfectly! Of course, child safety is our top priority so we always have our in-studio assistant nearby in case babies have an abrupt twitch or move at all. This was also the case when Jackie carefully placed their baby girl in a bucket prop for the classic bucket portraits.
Then, we transitioned to another set where we dropped down our mauve backdrop for family portraits. A concern that most new clients have is that they do not know how to pose for professional photos. Luckily, Jackie is an expert at guiding you and all involved in positioning and posing for your photos. During your session, you do not need to worry about a thing. Our amazing in-studio assistant is also around to reposition your hair and fix your outfits if need be.
Certainly, we were sure to take tons of mommy-and-me and daddy-and-me portraits. Their first daughter was such and dream to work with as well. She was very much excited to be a big sister and to be around her and take pictures with her baby sister. We always encourage our clients to bring special items to their session such as personalized blankets and Jen did just that. Jen brought in a personalized blanket with her daughter’s name on it so we had to take a portrait of her laying on it. It was super cute!
We are so happy to have had Jen and her beautiful family in the studio for a newborn session for a second time. Truly, we can’t wait to see them in the studio again at our many mini-session events throughout the years. Mount Laurel Newborn Photographer.
