We held our first Lavender mini session event this past June at the lovely Penbryn Farms. Luckily, during our search for a lavender field, we found this beautiful location in Berlin, New Jersey. Lavender season may be over for now, but we are so excited for next season. We will be sure to have plenty of dates available for next year.
Lavender on the Bryn at Penbryn Farms not only grows lavender, but a variety of flowers such as wildflowers, sunflowers, and zinnias. Certainly, you can rent the farm for private photography or small parties. Entry into this beautiful farm is $5 and you can visit Friday – Sunday 10am – 2pm. Of course, it is u-pick zinnias when they are in season. As you can see, they commissioned a beautiful barn as a look piece on their property. They hired Amish builders from Pennsylvania to build this beautiful barn and mentioned that they completed it within a week.
We encourage you to take a look at their Instagram page because they often hold special events such as yoga on their grounds! They also have cute photo opportunities throughout to take cute pics on your phone. They encourage you to bring a picnic basket and/or a book to enjoy during your visit. They also have a super cute chicken coup so the kiddos can take a quick look. Also, they have two vintage trucks on the grounds that are super neat.
Mini photo shoots are incredibly convenient for a variety of reasons. First, they are more affordable compared to full-length sessions, making them accessible to more people. The shorter duration of these sessions means they are less time-consuming, which is perfect for busy families or individuals who may not have the time for a longer shoot. Our minis are 5-minute time slots, which is plenty of time to get beautiful candid and posed photos.
Additionally, mini sessions are often scheduled back-to-back, allowing for more flexibility in booking a time that works for everyone. Finally, the quick turnaround for receiving photos means you don’t have to wait long to enjoy and share your beautiful images. If our 5-minute time slots are not long enough for you, you have the option of booking two consecutive time slots to ensure you have enough time. We do ask that you and your family come dressed to our event to make sure everyone’s reservations are seamless.
Mini sessions are perfect for updated family photos and for putting on those special outfits you have ready for the season! All these factors make mini photo shoots an excellent option for capturing special moments year-round.
Keeping updated family photos throughout the year is a wonderful way to capture the growth and changes in your family. Regularly scheduled photo sessions ensure that you have a visual record of important milestones, from birthdays to holidays and everything in between.
Also, they do not have to be a full family event, it can just be sibling photos!
