Peter Rabbit First Birthday Session

Lisa came into our studio in Southampton, New Jersey with her son, Levi, for a Peter Rabbit first birthday session. Lisa wore a beautiful blue dress to coordinate with her son’s blue and white outfit for this session. Indeed, we took some mother and son portraits, but today was all about her son!

First, we went right outside our studio to our flower garden and took some gorgeous outdoor photos. Of course, we provided this simple blanket so that Lisa could sit outside comfortably and not damage her dress.

Then, we came inside and had a Peter Rabbit first birthday cake smash. We kept the cake almost naked, with a little icing. Actually, we do this to keep the baby the highlight of the image. Clearly, we were able to get some super cute portraits that would be perfect for his nursery. Lisa brought in his Peter Rabbit plushie, a cute detail to add.

Finally, we concluded the session with our white bathtub prop and adorned the outside with fresh carrots and some greenery for added contrast. Truly, we had so much fun, it was such a pleasure to be a part of this milestone photoshoot. In fact, we are always excited when cake smash sessions are themed. This Peter Rabbit first birthday session was so cute. Everything was perfectly planned and coordinated beautifully. For example, the brown, white, and blue balloons with the banner were such a simple and clean addition to the set. Surely, we can’t wait to work with Lisa again in the future.
