Why Book So Far In Advance?
This blog is all about “why book so far in advance?” specifically for our maternity and newborn clients. I will go into why every type of session is better to take care of sooner rather than later. For our Maternity clients, booking earlier will help us help you pick the best day for your session. Since we’ve been doing this for so long we have little tips and tricks, and I’ll share a couple with you!
This one might seem a little obvious but I’ll go over it anyway. Firstly, we simply don’t know when you’re going to go into labor. You might be thinking you have so many more weeks left, but what happens if you go into early labor for whatever reason, and you don’t get to capture this sweet time in your life? Not only for yourself, but in years to come you’re kiddos love to look back to see mommy with them in her belly!
The next reason is you don’t want to book too late! We are specifically booked ahead for quite some time. Also, you don’t really want to be going past 36 weeks for maternity photos. Once you hit that 36-week mark everything starts to swell and I mean EVERYTHING haha! Feet, ankles, hands, and even your nose can swell or expand a little across your face. You want to feel beautiful, and swelling just makes you feel blah.
Next up let’s talk about newborn sessions, and why those are important to book early! Right off the bat, the main reason to book early with us is that we only take 5 newborn clients a month. We never would want someone to pay for that service, and then we’re so overbooked that we can’t get to them around that 14-day-old mark that we like to shoot at. Of course, we love to accommodate and squeeze last-minute clients in when we can. However, we have had to make that hard decision before where we have to say no to people! So if there’s any session you’re going to book way in advance, THIS ONE IS IT!
Now I’m just going to touch on family and milestones. For family, we have so many clients that return to us every year for those spring and fall family sessions. Those are in our books, so let’s say it’s October and you’d like some photos of your family at a park with the changing leaves. We’re booked for that month with all of our clients that booked at the beginning of the year! As far as milestone sessions go, our baby plan is the most popular! Those first birthday milestone sessions with our baby planners are scheduled and planned out when they’re around 6 months old! So while it may seem daunting you should contact us as soon as possible so we can accommodate you!
