Meadowset Farm & Apiary is an absolutely beautiful location to have your dream rustic chic wedding. Only problem for September 12th, was that it rained, constantly. I mean downpour. Doesn’t mean that the day was ruined; just means good luck! The sheep were still in their pen loving the cool rain, baby kittens had just been born days before, and the resident cats were still prancing around monitoring the farm.

Sometimes brides get a little upset if it rains on their special day. Not Diane! She was so amazing all day long. Even though the ceremony was under a tent, we made it work! The setting was wonderful. You walked into the tent and it just smelled like fresh basil and flowers. Diane had the most wonderful idea to put basil in the mason jars lining the aisle. Basil not only smells good but it looks good too! My assistant, Cassie, and I were just loving the smell.

Josh was also a trooper. Cool, calm and collected. Totally up for anything. These two were meant to be together.

After the Ceremony, we went into the barn. This wasn’t just any barn. It was lined with hay bales, twinkle lights everywhere, and I mean everywhere, a dark and romantic feeling was in the air.

Cassie and I noticed that the rain had stopped for a short time. We checked the weather radar and it looked like we had a small window of time to get some amazing shots outside on the property. Diane had wanted a photo with the “Avatar tree.” First think I thought was…. Avatar Tree? Really? hahaha But, when I saw it I knew what she meant! This tree was massive and it just seemed magical! (Just wait until you see the photos below)

After getting some amazing shots before the rain started again, Diane and Josh enjoyed their family and friends for their reception. It was magical, fun and laid back.
