The Venue: HighLawn Pavilion

Highlawn Pavilion is absolutely stunning!!! Literally, right across the river from NYC. You get the best view of the city from the distance. The day was hot but once the sun started to set it felt amazing. I’m getting chills just thinking about that night all over again! The Highlawn Pavilion was gracious enough to allow Nick set up for a special proposal for his beautiful bride to be.

The Couple: Nick and Kristin

I was recommended to Nick from a friend who was busy for the night. Once I contacted Nick to hear about the details, I was in! I just needed to make myself available for such an amazing night! Nick said he was proposing to his girlfriend, Kristin, of nine years at the Highlawn Pavilion. He was setting up in the gazebo. It wasn’t just any gazebo though. Nick’s friend would help set up for the surprise. They were literally going to put thousands of twinkle lights all over the gazebo and grassy area to set the scene for an enchanted garden. Well he sure did pull it off perfectly! Nick’s friend, myself and the violinist helped with the finishing details. We made sure that all the lights were perfectly aligned and in sync. Nick’s friend got the text that they were 10 minutes away. We scrambled to make sure every detail was perfect!

The Proposal:

As they pulled up, we could see that Kristin was covering her eyes. You could just see the huge smile on Nick’s face from 200 feet away! He was so excited! As they walked up, the violinist started to play Jessie Jay Flashlight. It was magical. I started to tear up. Then he told her to uncover her eyes and her expression was just priceless. The both walked down the brick aisle into the gazebo covered with lights. Nick’s stood there for a minute and professed his love to Kristin. (I’m getting chills are you?) He finally got down on his knee and she was all smiles! Of course, SHE SAID YES!!!!
